NAMI Design-Assist Action Items

We take a very proactive approach during the design phase of a project, where we:

  • Actively participate in the HVAC design process
  • Attend HVAC design-related meetings and workshops
  • Provide periodic review of HVAC Design Documents prepared by the design team
  • Provide periodic cost estimating
  • Provide three-dimensional (3D) coordination and conflict resolution for the MEP Trades
  • Provide detailed layout of HVAC piping, ductwork and equipment within mechanical rooms
  • Evaluate the overall value of equipment selections and features; offer equipment options and alternatives to maximize value
  • Evaluate the materials, fabrication methods and installation practices specified for piping and ductwork systems; offer options and alternatives to maximize value
